    Estimation of lean meat content in pig bellies

  • Original language description

    A representative sample of 76 slaughter pigs with a sex ratio 1:1 was investigated. On all pigs the three measures given above were stated. Furthermore, a detailed dissection was carried out yielding the proportion of lean meat in the belly (Y, in per cent). The correlation between the real and the estimated values of the lean meat content in the belliess of slaughter pigs was 0.82 for the given data set.
