Ziel des Projekts "Mice Bow" ist es, genetische Faktoren zu identifizieren, die für die Regulation der Entwicklung der einzelnen Gewebe verantwortlich sind und die unterschiedliche Konformationen der Mauslinien nach einer Selektion auf Wachstum verursachen. Zwei unterschiedliche Ansätze wurden verwendet: der Promotor-Aktivitäts-Ansatz und der Phänotyp-QTL-Ansatz.
