Original language description

In order to detect genetic diversity of black poplar populations, we developed microsatellite markers (20 primer pairs were obtained with poor to very good quality using PAGE/silver staining). AFLP primers were also tested and 3 primer pairs were chosenthat prodused 65 - 75 fragments per genotype, of which approximately 50% were polymorphic.
