Využití metody PCR pro identifikaci geneticky modifikovaných brambor nesoucích gen ac2 z Amaranthus caudatus

  • Original language description

In European Union products consisting of or containing genetically modified organisms (GMO) and food products obtained from GMOs are subject to traceability and labelling requirements. The work is based on developing a system for the detection of anantimicrobial peptide (Ac AMP2) from amaranth (Amaranthus caudatus) which was used for the transformation of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum). The base of the method is duplex PCR which enables identification of both amaranth (ac2) and potato (StTS1)specific genesin one tube. The method is enhanced by using positive plasmid controls which are able to reveal presence of PCR inhibitors and reduce the incidence of false negative results. The analytical method was used for analyse 108 samples ofpotatoes, but none ofthem was positive for genetic modification "ac2".
