Original language description
Basic information on the composition of chicken gut microbiota was provided. We stressed the differences in gut microbiota of chick with and without contact with adult hen. Principles of host adaptation of gut microbiota members were introduced and explained. Finally we reminded the differences in the lumenal and mucosal microbiota of the chicken caecum.
