Original language description
Certification labeling schemes have become a popular means for suppliers to deliver information about food quality and other product characteristics. The objective of the paper is to show if chosen regional certification schemes and related logos do attract consumers´ attention if meet their notion of regional food and if the logos/labes provide sufficient guidance for consumers shopping decisions. Using the on-line survey, chi square test and probit regression it is found out that the current schemes are not much successful in attracting attention of households (consumers) and proposals for the improvements are made.
