Aberrantly expressed CEACAM6 is involved in the signaling leading to apoptosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells
Original language description
Aberrantly expressed, GPI-anchored molecule CEACAM6 activates intracellular signaling pathways (ERK1/2, Akt and p38 MAPK) and enhances surface expression and affinity of adhesion molecules on B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) cells. However, CEACAM6 triggers apoptosis in vitro.
