Analysis of CD21, CD2 and SWC7 expression on porcine B cells showed that expression of these molecules can be used for discrimination of B cell maturation in circulation. According to inter-species comparison, overall results of this work suggest that CD2 molecule may be essential for activation and transition of immature B cells into mature B cells while CD21 molecule is critical in maturation of B cells into antibody-forming cells and memory B cells
