Original language description
This software has been developed within TACR project TJ02000203 "Advanced mathematical and statistical methods in evaluating instrumented indentation measurements" (result TJ02000203-V4). It provides an implementation of the nonlinear data regression method OEFPIL (Optimum Estimate of Function Parameters by Iterated Linearization) in a form of a software library written in C programming language allowing integration in other software. The library aims for efficient computation, which is supported by using proven BLAS and LAPACK interfaces for matrix operations. The interface of the main function oefpil() is modeled after other established function fitting packages such as MINPACK or ODRPACK. The function provides progress reporting with optional output direction and level of verbosity. Inclusion of the library in third-party software is facilitated by simple copying the header and source file, or using CMake build system. It has been verified that this implementation yields identical results as the reference R package. A collection of examples is also included. The library is free software distributed under MIT License.

Technical parameters
