Alterations in IFN signaling in cancer and their potential clinical impact
Original language description
We here report on the deficient inducibility of STAT1 phosphorylation at Ser-727 and Tyr-701 in response to IFN-?Ń/-gamma in stage II and III melanoma patients. The absence of STAT1 activation at Ser-727 occurred in three quarters of patients. Inductionof STAT1 phosphorylation at Tyr-701 by IFN-alfa was lacking in 63% and by IFN-gamma in 34% of patients.
