Purpose: To examine the differences in average phaco power and effective phaco time (EPT) and evaluate the clinical results with the standard Series 20000 Legacy system (Alcon) and the Legacy with AdvanTec software and the NeoSoniX handpiece (Alcon). Setting: Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital, Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. Conclusions: The Legacy system with AdvanTec software and the NeoSoniX handpiece significantly reduced the mean EPT and phaco power. This low-power technology minimizes intraoperative damage to ocular structures and maximizes the level and rapidity of visual rehabilitation.

Cíl: zkoumat odlišnosti v průměrné síle čočky a efektivním čase čočky (EPT) a zhodnotit klinické výsledky se standardním systémem Series 20000 Legacy (Alcon) a Legacy s AdvanTec softwarem a NeoSoniX nástavcem (Alcon) na Katedře oftalmologie, Fakultní nemocnici v Hradci Králové, Česká republika. Výsledky: EPT a průměrná síla čočky byly nižší u AdvanTec skupiny než u standardní Legacy 20000 skupiny. Žádné známky strií rohovky či otok u 92% očí během prvního postoperačního dne. Závěry: systém Legacy se softwarem a nástavcem významně snižuje průměrnou EPT a sílu čočky. Tato technologie minimalizuje intraoperativní poškození očních struktur a maximalizuje hladinu a rychlost oční rehabilitace.
