The concept of self-efficacy has proved useful for studying preschool children. The manner in which parents mediate different experiences to children and how they lead them trough new and stressing situations, basically influences the style, how they will deal with new and stressing situations when they grow up. The present study examines these statements by means of qualitative methods.

Koncept self-efficacy byl ověřen jako užitečný pro studium předškolních dětí. Způsob, jakým rodiče zprostředkovávají různé zkušenosti svým dětem a jak je provázejí novými a stresujícími situacemi, zásadně ovlivňuje styl, jakým se později budou vyrovnávats nároky života. Prezentovaná studie využívá kvalitativních postupů.
