Original language description
The study included 75 pupils with cerebral palsy, 6 to 12 years old, who attended mainstream elementary schools and schools for students with special educational needs from the first to the sixth grade. In order to assess their participation in the school environment, the third part of the SFA (The School Function Assessment) questionnaire were used. The extent of impairment of pupils' gross motor and manual ability was assessed by the GMFCS (Gross Motors Classification System) and MACS (Manual Ability Classification System) scales. As independent variables, we have determined 9 individual factors that relate to the characteristics of pupils with cerebral palsy, and 1 environmental factor that relates to the type of school the students attend. The results indicate the importance of motor skills and intellectual and writing abilities of pupils with cerebral palsy as significant predictors of social participation in school environment in the Republic of Serbia.
