This paper focuses on teachers' application of CLIL in biology lessons in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the study was to determine the extent of teachers' application of CLIL in biology at upper secondary schools (ISCED 3). The research of the paper consists of an analysis of the teachers' responses (n=108) to particular items in the questionnaire. The percentage of teachers who use CLIL in their biology lessons was 32 %. Teachers realize CLIL the most often in lessons of basic type, then in projects and laboratory lessons. Human biology is the most frequently used topic of teaching units they teach in CLIL in biology.
