Effects of endocannabinoids on agonistic behaviour in mice
Original language description
The present study was designed to ascertain behavioural effects of novel endocannabinoid ligand noladin ether using the model of agonistic behaviour in mice. In aggressive singly-housed mice, noladin did not show marked changes in behavioural activities. The only significant effect recorded was the significant inhibition of sociable sniffing. In timid isolates, noladin elicited a significant aggresssogenic action with the impairment of the locomotor activity. Thus, the behavioural noladin profile founddid not fully resemble that of anandamide which in our earlier experiments exerted a significant antiaggressive effects using the model of mouse agonistic social interactions.
