SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF PROTONATION EQULIBRIA OF SHORT OLIGONUCLEOTIDES CONTAINING CYTOSIN
Original language description
This paper deals with the spectroscopic study of protonation of short deoxyoligonucleotides (ODNs) containing cytosine. The measurements were performed at constant temperature and ionic strength. The influence of the number of cytosine in the ODNs chainon protonation was studied. The pKa values were calculated using the software OPIUM. Constants pKa determined at several temperatures provided the possibility to calculate the thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy and entropy.
