Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, estrogenic responses and biotransformation system in the liver of salmon exposed to tributyltin and second messenger activator
Original language description
The purpose of this study was to explore effect of TBT on expression of genes involved in estrogenic responses, fat and glucose metabolism and metabolic pathways common for xenobiotics and TBT interaction with cAMP signaling towards these genes. Atlanticsalmon (salmo salar) was exposed to three concentrations of TBT and consequently to forskolin (an adenylyl cyclase activator). The mRNA expression and protein levels of estrogenic receptor, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, ACOX-1, pregnane Xreceptor, CYP3A and GST in salmon liver were determined using QRT-PCR and western-blotting.
