Research of the Significance of Function of the Class Teacher from the Point of View of the Class Teachers, the School Management, the Pupils and their Parents
Original language description
The educational mission of the class teacher in the Czech educational system is mostly characterized as the coordinating and integrating factor. The function of the class teacher brings about special and important tasks: generally, it is assumed that theclass teacher is not only best informed of the overall educational and learning situation in his class but that he also disposes of information that is significant from the point of view of the educational development of individual pupils. The article is based on the assumption that the function of the class teacher includes a series of activities that other participants in the educational process of pupils may not even realize, which may lead to underestimation of the function of class teachers.
