    The paper presents information on learning strategies in pupils at primary and secondary schools. It specifies some of the approaches to reading acquisition in pupils with dyslexia. This issue is perceived from the cognitive and metacognitive strategiesacquisition perspective. The chapter contains analysis of some foreign approaches and programs in the acquisition of basic strategies during learning process as well as specific examples of good practice.
