Inquiry-based Science Education Modules and Their Effects on Teacher Education
Original language description
The objective of this research is the development of an IBSE teaching method, based on modules in IBSE. The second objective is the implementation of this educational method into science teacher education. This research was conducted within the PROFILES project in the European 7th Framework Programme. The basic methods of the research were design-based research and the curricular Delphi study. The main outcomes of the design-based research are the IBSE modules, which were used as the basis for training teachers in IBSE implementation. Selected authors on the basis of a presentation at the conference were asked to create a chapter in a monograph. Chapter in the book is the significant expansion and modification of the conference paper.
