    The NMR spectra of 14 methyl-substituted acetophenones and 14 methyl-substituted methyl benzoates were assignet and interpreted with respect to the conformation of the C(ar) bond.-C(O). The substituent effects are proportional in the two series and can be divided into polar and steric.

    NMR spektra 14 methylsubstituovaných acetofenonů a 14 methylsubstituovaných methyl-benzoátů byla změřena a interpretována s ohledem na konformaci mezi uhlíkem aromatickým a karbonylovým. Substituční efekty jsou proporcionální v obou seriích a mohou být rozděleny na vliv polárního a sterického efektu.
