Investigation of ion transport behaviour of oxalate ions through ion-exchange membranes

  • Original language description

In this contribution, the transport of oxalate ions through ion-exchange membranes has been investigated. Especially, the effects of the oxalic acid concentration, electric current density and the concentration difference upon the rate of transport havebeen studied. All the experiments have been carried out using two types of anion-exchange membranes, i.e. Neosepta-ACM (ASTOM Corporation) and Ralex-AMH-PES (Mega, a.s.,the Czech Republic). The mathematical model, which describes the ionic transport behaviour of the electro-electrodialysis process, has been developed.
