The synthesis of the compounds [(LCd)-Cd-1(mu-I)](2) (1), (LCd)-Cd-2(mu-I)(2)center dot Li(THF)(2) (2), and [L-3 center dot CdI2] (3) with L-1 = {2,6-(Me(2)NCH2)(2)C6H3)(-)}, L-2 = {2,6-[(CH3)C=N(C6H3-2',6'-Pr-i(2))](2)C6H3}(-) and L-3 = {2-[(CH3)C=N(C6H3-2,6-Pr-i(2))]6-(CH3O)}C5H3N) is reported. The compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffractions analyses
