The thesis deals with the implementation and optimalization of magnetic beads-ELISA method for detection of specific antibodies against biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD), specifically of antibodies against beta amyloid (A?). Since during this methodthe surface of magnetic beads is used as the solid phase, suitable procedure for the preparation of magnetic carriers (i.e. immobilization of antigen) including its subsequent characterization had to be optimized at the very beginning. Finally, the antibodies against A? from the sera of AD patiens and healthy controls were measured by the optimazed and established method.
