A Multidimensional Analysis of Multimedia Elements Influencing the Visual Attractiveness of E-Commerce Websites
Original language description
This article focuses on analyzing the relationship among multimedia elements, visual attractiveness, and the e-commerce industry based on multivariate analysis methods. It looks at the influence of multimedia elements on the perceived attractiveness of web pages and how this perception varies across industry segments. This research deals with the use of multimedia content, such as audio, video, animation, and interactive features, in shaping website appeal and influencing user evaluations. The results show that the visual attractiveness of websites is influenced not only by the presence of multimedia elements but also by the type of products sold. While e-commerce stores focused on fashion and luxury goods use more often videos and 3D graphics, e-commerce stores focused on e-commerce prefer clarity, simplicity, and static images. Understanding these differences allows businesses to align their multimedia strategies with user expectations and improve their online presence. This article contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of multimedia elements in shaping the user experience in e-commerce. The insights gained provide valuable recommendations for optimizing website design, increasing user satisfaction, and can ultimately lead to increased website credibility and increased conversion rates. By tailoring multimedia strategies to different market segments, online retailers can create visually compelling and user-friendly platforms that better meet consumer expectations and drive business success.
