Analysis of lateral dynamical response of a wheelset during traction
Original language description
In railway vehicles the observation of lateral and yaw response of a wheelset has great importance as it is directly related with safety and deformation of wheel/rail. In previous studies about the lateral and yaw response of a wheelset, the mathematicalmodels proposed do not consist of tractive effort and torsional dynamics. In this study, these responses of a torsionally flexible wheelset is investigated in case of traction. It has been observed by means of simulation study that the traction has a stabilizing effect on lateral and yaw response.
