    Applications of fuzzy logic in explainnig driver behavior

    This scientific monograph comprehensively addresses the theoretical and practical aspects of driver behavior modeling aiming to improve road safety, representing a methodological shift from traditional statistical techniques to advanced approaches utilizing fuzzy logic and meta-heuristic algorithms. The publication, which summarizes the authors&apos; long-term research based on works indexed in the Web of Science, is divided into three main parts that successively analyze risks associated with mobile phone use or the perception of spatial objects and speed using statistical methods, subsequently apply fuzzy logic for the selection of professional drivers and the assessment of accident proneness, and finally demonstrate the use of meta-heuristic algorithms, such as Bee Colony Optimization, for examining the influence of personality traits and speed perception on accident rates. The work thus provides new tools and models for the analysis and prevention of risky behavior in traffic, thereby contributing to the development of traffic psychology, traffic safety, and the field of optimization algorithms.
