The paper deals with static and model analysis of railway superstructure. Three types of FEM-based computational models were employed. The aim was to compare static and dynamic response of these models, particularly rail deflection, natural frequencies and mode shapes. Also influence of contact between sleepers and balast bed was tested. Goal of this analysis was to find computational model of track suitable for numerical simulation of vehicle-track system.
