The paper is focused on clarification of context related to loss of basic oxidic component of ceramic filter at filtration of molten steel. It was established during previous experiments that on the surface of holes of ceramic filters there occurs duringfiltration decrease of material of basic component in ceramics and that slag layer was formed on the surface of capillaries in the course of filtration of steel, which influences these changes.
