Cranktrain Development of Aircraft Diesel Engine
Original language description
The paper deals with the development of a cranktrain of an aircraft diesel engine. The computational model is assembled and solved in Multi-Body System. Slide bearings are solved by a hydrodynamic approach. The results include vibrations of the cranktrain and also fatigue analyses of cranktrain key parts like crankshafts or a propeller shaft. There are also presented design modifications enabling a reduction of vibrations and a fatigue increase of main parts.
