Original language description
The article compares legislation in the field of industrial safety in the European Union and Russia. There is considered a system of major accidents prevention and basic requirements for industrial enterprises that deal with chemical substances; limit amounts of hazardous substances are compared too. A new approach to major accident prevention in Russia and a comparison to recent Seveso Directive have not been described in international conferences yet.
