Complex strategy for a development of highly elastic couplings
Original language description
This paper presents computational and experimental results utilized in development of highly elastic couplings. The results should provide answers to different questions, mainly those concerning the area of engine vibrations and rubber component fatigues. The highly elastic couplings are applied to the connection of an in-line six-cylinder natural gas engine and a generator. Loading forces were applied based on the values of combustion pressures measured in an engine cylinder. Experimental verification of the computational model results was carried out by measuring the values on a testing engine using non-contact laser measuring technique.
