Original language description
For the measurement and computer simulation a number of typical products of grey cast iron were selected, weighing 14 to 40 kg. With all these castings, the temperature field was measured by thermocouples and internal stresses were measured by strain gauge method. Results of both experimental measurements and computer simulation show agreement in minimum internal stresses, using recommended method of releasing castings.
