Original language description
In this work is presented Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) as a type of uncommon actuator for robotics. There is concise description of Shape Memory Effect (SME) principle. NiTinol as an example of SMA is mentioned bellow. In a part of this paper is described astepping robot, which was designed with SMA actuators implemented. The types of the controlling SME and problems with physical modeling of the behaviour of SMA are considered. Advantages and disadvantages of using SMA in applications are discussed. In coonclusion are also introduced other fields with examples of using.
