The ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection structures protect integrated circuits against the parasitic electrostatic discharge events. Among often used structures belong some bipolar ESD clamps. The typical application of such protections is in the ESD power clamps design. This text is dealing with a current-triggered bipolar ESD power clamp which enables tuning of its trigger level.
