Impedance transformation of RC-EDP based fractional-order elements
Original language description
Fractional-order elements (FOEs) designed using the RC-EDP (resistive-capacitive elements with distributed parameters) technique feature with constant phase in desired frequency band, however, the impedance of such current FOEs is in range of Mega Ohms, which is not suitable for practical design of fractional-order function blocks. The paper deals with the analysis of the impedance transformation, i.e. decrease, of such FOEs, while keeping the phase response unchanged to make them more applicable in practical analog circuit design. The theoretical presumptions are verified by experimental measurements.
