Fast Lightning Stroke Localization in the Time Domain
Original language description
A fast lightning stroke localization technique is presented in the paper. The localization is performed fully in the time domain. The analyzed over-head transmission line is located above the perfect ground. Its voltage response is computed analytically, which speeds up the optimization process performed by a global heuristic algorithm. The proposed localization scheme is verified with the aid of two case studies: the first with a target voltage-induced response without a noise, and one with presence of the noise. The proposed method achieves a very low overall localization error.
