Flow Behaviour of Highly Viscous Gel-like Material based on Hyaluronan and Surfactant
Original language description
The flow behaviour of soft materiasl - hydrogels prepared by unique combination of biopolymer (sodium hyaluronate) and oppositely charged surface active agent (Carbethopendecinium bromide - |Septonex) was studied by steady- state viscosity measurements. The influence of different parameters such as way of preparation, concentration of both components, and molecular weight of sodium hyaluronate on the flow properties was determined and compared. It was proved that the way of preparation has not effect on the final flow properties in contrast with the influence molecular important finding especially with regards to potential utilization of these phase-prepared hydrogels in medical applications.
