Behaviour prediction problems of paintings based on water ?diluted paints in natural conditions following laboratory accelerated testing
Original language description
The work focused on the possibility of behaviour prediction of paintings based on water-diluted paints in natural conditions following monitoring their protection efficiency using laboratory testing methods. Cyclic test Nr.I is using intermittent exposure of the samples to SO2 in condensation chamber (EN ISO 3231 standard specification), temperature of 65°C, temperature -20°C and exposure to SO2 in open condensation chamber. The comparison of the laboratory tests´results and the state of the samples exposed at atmospheric corrosion station shows that one can predict approximately paintings behaviour starting from 150 micrometer thick paintings using Cyclic test Nr.I.
