Subjective Attitudes to Inclusion as a Current Social Problem
Original language description
The paper presents the results of research of subjective attitudes of 132 qualified and professionally active kindergarten teachers, namely to the process of inclusion of a preschool child at present; their structure and characteristics. Attitudes to inclusion were obtained by the method of free answer to the specific assignments. They are therefore declared and focused especially on children with special educational needs. All components of attitudes were uncovered. Characteristics of teacher attitudes have identified (1) selectivity to situations, to unspecified circumstances, and to other people, which is influenced by the age, frequency and personal specifics of children in the classroom; (2) multi-quality orientation; (3) notice and (4) the awareness of the inclusion process. General claims were the types of found opinions; derivatives and secondary things (Benesch, 1997, s. 267). The obtained data fragments were analysed by a qualitative approach in the paradigm model.
