The aim of this chapter is to specify the writing comprehension descriptors of language for specific purposes at CEFR levels B2 and C1 within an academic context.To achieve this goal, writing comprehension will be analysed by comparing general texts withtexts for academic writing purposes. Grammatical and textual features and corresponding writing strategies will be dealt with, focusing on particular texts. Based on the results of this project, an amendment of the descriptors for language use within anacademic context is proposed.
