    In this chapter, fundamental physical–chemical properties of molten salts are described at first, which would help understand the chemical processing of molten salts. After that, chemical technology of the molten salt reactor (MSR) fuel cycle is described mostly for reprocessing of fuel salt. At the end of this chapter, historical overview of partitioning technology with the relation to MSR is shortly introduced.
