  • Original language description

    Prebiotic effect was confirmed in selected strains of bifidobacteria in milk and whey enriched Chlorella by acid production. The effect of Chlorella on bacterial adhesion was tested in yogurt culture on Caco-2 and HT29 cell lines, Chlorella positively influenced the adhesion of S. thermophilus, especially to the Caco-2 cell line. Bacterial viability was evaluated in prepared yogurts with the addition of Chlorella biomass/extract for a period of 4 weeks. The total number of yogurt bacteria after production was at least 107 CFU/g.
