Original language description
Chemical pretreatmetment of impure glycerin formed by transesterification was aim of this work. The purification step of crude glycerin is essential before applying electrodialysis as final separation step. Crude glycerin purification can contain following steps like removing bigger molecules such as coloring agents, soap, esters or unreacted free fatty acids, which would cause irreversible fouling of membranes, by acid and active carbon. The glycerin should have high purity after electrodialysis. Product can be further processed and used as antifreeze mixture compound. Desalination process is characterized variation of product solution conductivity.
