Analysis of Health Status in the Czech Republic: 2019-2022 Trends
Original language description
This study monitors the health profile in EU-27 countries, including the Czech Republic during the last four years. Selected period takes into account the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic. Aims: To construct the health profile scale for EU-27 member states in relation to COVID-19 and analyze regional similarities and disparities. Results for Czechia will be compared with EU average and EU-27. The health profile scoring of EU-27 countries was enumerated. The main data sources were the Eurostat Database and OECD. Results: EU-27 countries may be divided into six categories. Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and Austria have the best performance. Main disparities were found in measures: health expenditure per capita, outpatient care, inpatient care, long-term care and prevention. Conclusions: Measurement results may serve as recommendations towards social and health sector. Findings in this study may be considered in future research by analyzing further aspects of the population health status.
