Process of Re-Structuration of Teacher Higher Education in the Czech Republic
Original language description
The main objective of this paper is to detect and analyze general aspects of structuration of teacher higher studies within the Czech education system. This process started in 2001 after the Bologna Declaration; numerous discussions on the process have been conducted but no final significant results have been introduced to state whether the implementation of the new structuration of higher studies in the Czech Republic has brought some positive contribution, or has not. First, analysis of documents was conducted to define starting points and the process of re-structuration in the Czech Republic. Second, theoretical and practical consequences for the primary and secondary school teacher preparation and training are described. The collected data are analyzed and discussed. The results can contribute to conducting similar processes in other systems of education, either of similar, or different types.
