Vibration damping using index differential
Original language description
A mechatronic differential is a system with two inputs and one output which utilizes a gearbox to compose the motions, neither part of which is firmly connected to the frame. In addition to motion composing in order to obtain otherwise difficult-to-implement functions, the index differential is a suitable device for ensuring vibration-free re-positioning of a flexible system. One input of the differential ensures that the output is re-positioned by a required distance or at least by a significant part thereof and the other input is used to modify the output position to minimize the output vibrations.
