OPTIMALISATION OF HYDROGEN DIRECT INJECTION ENGINE
Original language description
The paper addresses the utilization of advanced computational methods for the modelling and optimization of a hydrogen engine with the direct fuel injection into the engine cylinder. The SW Wave was used to create a simulation model. The procedure of themodel parameter identification was verified by means of the experimental data obtained on a 1.3 dm3 three-cylinder hydrogen internal combustion engine with the direct fuel injection fitted with the low pressure injectors having the input pressure of 10MPa. Internal mixture formation has become used more frequently in spark ignition engines in recent years and gas internal combustion engines may benefit from the concept as well. The concept increases the engine?s volumetric efficiency and eliminates adverse anomalies related to the usage of hydrogen as a fuel. The paper discusses some simulation-based knowledge.
