The main aim of this contribution is to compare some measures of shape complexity based on the concept of fractal dimension and Fourier shape analysis with traditional measures. Before Fourier and fractal analysis are shape contour transformed to the polar coordinates. The fractal dimension for polar representation is computed from variogram.
