The importance of moisture transport in the insulating properties of sandwich structures, smart clothes
Original language description
The subject of this paper is a theoretical analysis of transport phenomena in sandwich structures, SMART clothing and experimental verification. The results of the experiment demonstrate the effect of moisture and the importance of transport and removalof moisture from the clothing layers. Heat transfer was analysed by TCi sensor for these purposes and possibility of dynamic measurement of thermal insulation properties is investigated. The results present a significant impact of air on interlayer insulating properties. Therefore, when pressure is applied, layers of clothing drop in thermal insulation properties in addition to added drop in moisture transportation into the air layers.
